Although I went to a denomination in my youth, at 12 years old I felt empty. No one around me seemed able to say anything to solve this dilemma. By 1971 I was a married man and my first child was a year old. A neighbor brought me to a house meeting in the of some believers in the local church, and I found out I had a human spirit, and I learned that I could call on the name of Jesus (I Thes. 5:23, Acts 2:21). Three years later I woke up late one night feeling distraught and upset. I went to my living room and started reading First John chapter 1. Somewhere between verse three and verse nine I found that I was touching God in and with my spirit. That is the day I truly found that I did not have to be empty any longer.
First John 1:4: And these things we write that your joy may be made full.
